Sunday

Sunday at the mill.

These pictures were taken at a creek near my house. A friend and I go there every sunday to talk and think and start the day off right. It's so beautiful surrounded by majestic trees (as displayed in the second picture.) Next week we're going to try fishing here and I can't wait! ({[and on a total side note..I. LOVE. MY. NEW. BOOTS.]})

Photoless day.

Unfortunately I don't have any photos of me personally from today. However I went shopping in Wicker Park and got these wonderful boots! The picture doesn't really do them justice but oh how I love them. Trying to get my sleeping patterns somewhat normal so that's all for now!

Friday

I played hooky to write a paper today.

Now that I'm done writing about the world's most deceptive novel- seriously..don't even get me started about the subtle racism involved with this book that "exposed the dark side of the Congo."- I thought I would enjoy the friday afternoon sun. It's shaping up to be a wonderful friday.. ditching school, hanging out with eelan, meeting up with a friend for sorbet, and then meeting up with some more for a movie..wonderful!

Reflections on Joseph Conrad

I love this sweater. It's a size XL and I am super strangely proud of that... also the fact that I got it at Ann Taylor when I went in there to shop for my mom... also the fact that it was 85% off and I therefore got it for $4. As much as I wish I could continue my sweater diatribe, I should probably write my essay on Heart of Darkness..due date: tomorrow.

Nieto Fong

About a month ago I was lucky enough to be a part of the Anna Fong & Horacio Nieto F/W '09 runway show. It was a great experience, and I will never agree to be a runway model again. As you can see in the first picture, I was more than thrilled to wake up early for the event...

Post School. Pre Work.

There is nothing better than a little piece of nature in the middle of well...not nature. I find this pond completely relaxing and a good substitute jacuzzi in the summertime. But before I go any farther, I need to give credit to my brilliant photographer ee. CLICK HERE and check her out for yourself. (and no, she's not my boyfriend.)

Light Sabers? Light Sabers!

So, I never thought that I would actually get around to making a blog. Many people in my life have been urging me to do so ever since the Karla, Rumi & Krystal craze spread to Chicago, I just never thought I would. However, I have found myself thinking lately that all these lovely blogshionistas are located on the west coast and it is time for the Chi to represent (chicago is the new NY after all [ha..hahaha]). I love clothes and eventually want to become a designer, but I don't always dress the part of a fashionista, so I guess that's another good thing about publicly displaying my clothes to the world- it will act an incentive to dress decent most every day. Well I guess we'll see how this goes....
